The RAeS Boscombe Down Branch invites you to attend our AGM/end of season event: The Secret Spitfires with Norman Parker.
Tuesday 26th April – 17:30 BST
LIVE from MOD Boscombe Down
Synopsis:
The Secret Spitfires
For our first in-person event in over two years, we will be taking a look at the story of how over 2000 Supermarine Spitfires were manufactured in secret during World War II by screening the feature-length ‘Secret Spitfires’ film, as well as hearing from its central character, renowned historian and former Spitfire engineer Norman Parker, on his involvement with the story and the new memorial, which was unveiled in Salisbury earlier this year. You can read more about that here.
This event will also incorporate the 2022 AGM – a slide pack will be sent out to Branch members prior to the event and we will run through the slides before taking any questions from the audience on the day. Any Branch members who are not able to attend this event, please email your questions to BoscombeDown@aerosociety.com.
