The Boscombe Down Branch of the Royal Aeronautical Society provided a display for the 2017 Boscombe Down Families Day to promote the work carried out by the local branch. Despite the weather, or perhaps because of it, many families were attracted to the stand and the materials provided by RAeS headquarters were greatly appreciated by our visitors. Although the pens and luggage tags attracted many, the favourite feature was the 100+ paper aeroplanes supplied by 4 Hamilton Place. All were built and all were flown, with many mini flying competitions taking place and lots of conversations with the children on how to make their planes more aerodynamic. A super afternoon for everyone.
