With only a couple of weeks to go before the start of our upcoming 2021/22 lecture season, we are pleased to announce our first confirmed lectures of the season. Given the current situation regarding the global pandemic, we are anticipating that this season will contain a mix of on-site and virtual lectures and we will of course communicate the details of each event well in advance (especially forĀ on-site lectures). Currently, the confirmed Boscombe Down Branch lectures taking place in 2021/22 are:
Tuesday 7 September 2021 (Online Lecture): Britain’s First Space Rocket – The Story of the Skylark
Tuesday 2 November 2021 (Lecture Venue TBC): Operation Jericho
Tuesday 16 November 2021 (Lecture Venue TBC): The People’s Mosquito Restoration
Tuesday 4 January 2022 (Online Lecture): QEC Flight Trials Simulation
Tuesday 1 March 2022 (Online Event): Joe Morrall Award
We also have several additional lectures lined up and are hoping to confirm the details of these events in the coming weeks. They include our annual Sir Henry Tizard named lecture and a Secret Spitfires-themed Christmas event and details (along with any updates to our current programme) will be provided on our website as and when we can confirm them.
